The surrounding area of Ulladulla, the historic rural village of Milton and seaside town on Mollymook, lakeside town of Burrill Lake provide with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere and a vast variety of leisure activities to fill each day.

Take a short stroll to beautiful Racecourse Beach to swim, fish or play. Boating enthusiasts will find that they are just 2 minutes from the Burrill Lake or the Kings Point boat ramps. The Morton and Budawang National Parks and numerous other forests virtually edge the sea with a narrow ribbon of undulating pastoral settlements occasionally breaking where the blue of the sea meets the green wilderness.

Only 30 minutes drive from Ulladulla, one can enjoy half or whole day bush-walks on Pigeon House Mountain, the Castle or the Budawangs. Alternatively, there are more leisurely coastal walks alongside reflective lakes where pelicans and other seabirds glide over calm waters. The views from the mountaintops are unsurpassed, taking in impressive vistas over deep canyons and east to the sparkling azure of the ocean. The Coastline offers many secluded and safe beaches with soft white sand, crystal clear water and endless strolls investigating sandstone sea ledges and fascinating rock pools. All year round, dolphins can be seen gently cruising off shore and occasionally pods of whales are sighted around the many islands that dot the coast. Bird life and wildlife are abundant.

Where else in Australia can you see relatively tame kangaroos bounding along the seashore next to surfers than at famous Pebbly Beach. In Milton, stroll around and take in the country town atmosphere enjoying fascinating antique shops and emporiums. Get to meet the artists and crafts people in the many art and craft galleries, workshops and studios. There are also the sizzling variety of distinguished fine food restaurants and cafes in the area to tempt your taste buds.

There are many wonderful havens and secret places scattered throughout the district; beaches and lakes and rivers favoured by enthusiasts of surfing, snorkeling, sailing, boating, bush-walking, camping and fishing. Keep on the lookout for the whales at Mollymook and Narrawallee beaches from August to November. Have a round of golf at Mollymook Beach-side or test your skills at the Hilltop 18 hole championship golf course. There are plenty of walks, water activities, horse riding and tourist drives.
